Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 13, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy applies to information we collect when you use or access our website, applications, or just interact with us. We may change this privacy policy from time to time. Whenever we make changes to this privacy policy, the changes are effective 30 days after we post the revised privacy policy (as indicated by revising the date at the top of our privacy policy). We encourage you to review our privacy policy whenever you access our services to stay informed about our information practices.

Data Controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is VisoDyne. You can contact us at [email protected].

Collection of Information

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you communicate with us via email. The types of information we may collect include your name, email address, and any other contact or identifying information you choose to provide.

Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Services

When you access or use our services, we automatically collect limited information about you, including:

  • Log Information: Our web servers log standard information about your use of our services, including the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address, and the page you visited before navigating to our services.
  • Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access our services, including the operating system and version.

Information Collected by Third Parties

Our website uses Google Fonts to display typography. When you visit our site, your browser makes requests to Google's servers to load font files. This exposes your IP address to Google. Google's use of this data is governed by their privacy policy.

Software License Activation

When you activate a VisoDyne desktop application, we collect and process your license key, a privacy-preserving device identifier, and your email address through our payment provider (Creem) solely to validate your purchase and enforce device limits.

Product Feedback

Our desktop applications include an optional feedback feature. If you choose to submit feedback, we collect the following data:

  • Feedback content: The category you select (e.g., bug report, feature request) and the message text you write.
  • Email address (optional): Only if you voluntarily provide it, so we can respond to your feedback.
  • Device identifier: A privacy-preserving HMAC-SHA256 hash of your machine ID, used solely for rate-limiting to prevent abuse. This is the same identifier described in “Software License Activation” above.
  • Application metadata: Your application version and locale setting.
  • IP address: Processed transiently for rate limiting; not stored alongside your feedback.

Use of Information

We use information about you for various purposes, including to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services;
  • Process software license activations and provide customer support;
  • Review product feedback to diagnose bugs, prioritize features, and improve our software;
  • Respond to your feedback submissions (only if you provided an email address);
  • Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages;
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests and provide customer service;
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our services.

Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate Interests: We process server logs and usage data to maintain and secure our services, and to improve our website. These interests do not override your data protection rights.
  • Contract Performance: We process license activation data and account information as necessary to provide software and services you have purchased.
  • Consent: Where you voluntarily contact us by email or submit product feedback, we process your message and contact details based on your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
  • Legal Obligation: We may process data where required to comply with applicable laws.

Sharing of Information

We may share personal information about you as follows:

  • With third-party vendors and other service providers who need access to your information to carry out work on our behalf (such as our licensing provider for software activation);
  • If we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • To enforce applicable user agreements or policies, including our Terms of Service, and to protect us, our users, or the public from harm or illegal activities;
  • In connection with any merger, sale of VisoDyne assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

We may also share aggregated or anonymized information that does not directly identify you.

Data Storage

We store a theme preference (light/dark mode) locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

International Data Transfers

Our website uses Google Fonts, which results in your IP address being transmitted to Google servers that may be located outside the EEA (including in the United States). Google processes this data in accordance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Our licensing provider (Creem) may also process license data outside the EEA; these transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed): up to 90 days.
  • Email correspondence: for the duration of the inquiry plus 1 year, unless a longer retention is required by law.
  • License activation data: for the duration of your license plus 2 years.
  • Product feedback: up to 3 years from submission, or until you request deletion.

Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect personal information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Our website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections.
